Eduards Kudrjavcevs will start Day 3 of the PCPC as leader
Only 29 players remain alive at the 2016 Punta Cana Poker Classic Main Event with Eduards Kudrjavcevs as chip leader with 961,000 points. He is closely followed by Andrew Boccia who finished the third day of action with a 900,000 stack.
Among the notables that made it through Day 2 are Fernando Gordo (711,000), Michael Telker (524,000), Camilo Zuluaga (481,000), Amos Ben (435,000), Clint Landman (401,000), Ron Morandini (283,000), Malik King (165,000) and Leon Dublet (162,000).
The third day of action presented 176 players to cash at least $3,395 by finishing among the first 54 places of the event. The money bubble burst when Mark Dube became the last player to leave the room without cashing.
Players such as Faraz Jaka (54° – $3,395), Osvaldo Fernandez (44° – $3,880), Scott McKenzie (41° – 3,880), Jeiko Palma (38° – $3,880), Engelberth Varela (33° – $4,365) and Corey Paggeot (31° – $4,365) were among the players that cashed today.
The surviving players will return tomorrow at 14:00 looking for a place on the final table of nine that will be played next sunday. Players have secured a $4,365 cash but the champion will return home with a $143,675 prize.
