Nicolás Pachelo: del poker a culpable en el caso García Belsunce
Habitual hace años del circuito pokeril, fue encontrado responsable del asesinato de la socióloga en el 2002. Aquí, una reseña del hecho y más.
Well, the second week of October has come and gone. Some may still be celebrating their teams victories, while others may still be suffering the first elimination round for the 2018 World Cup to be played in Russia. However, that’s a different story…The reason we are all here today, the latest edition of CodigoPoker’s Freaky Friday.
Today we are going to talk about a man who’s very, very lucky… so much so, that we wonder whether he has cut a deal with some paranomarl entity. We are referring, of course, to Antonis “Enigma4u4me” Poulengeris .
This player has a story for the sci-fi books and is probably an idol to may gamblers out there, who dream of starring in a story just like the one he has.
Antonis was a big fan of betting at casinos, and his forté was roulette. One fine day, he got lucky and turned his initial sum of $ 800, into $38,000. He bought a Lotus car with the money, and went back to casino the following day to tempt fate with what was left of his earnings.
Luck was on his side once more, and his $ 12,000 became $180,000. He did the same thing, he cashed out, and this time, ne bought an apartment and went back to bet what money he had left.
The cycle repeated itself for days, until he finally made 1.5 million dollars. And that’s when he quit. Actually, he had reached the 2 million mark, but lost 500K and decided to quit.
Following these series of events, he decided to try poker in 2004. He wanted to give luck a rest and put himself to the test at a mind game. He invested $ 10 in an online room and fell in love with the discipline.
He started off with the right foot. Thanks to his first deposit, he came in second at a game with 7,500 players and took a $ 7,500 prize; later, he classified for the Aussie Millions.
Afterwards, he took to the PokerStars tables and in the year 2013, he managed to place fourth at the Sunday Million, taking $75,000. Not so long ago, he surpassed his mark, after chopping the aforementioned tournament with ArgenLive (Red Aconcagua) pro player, Alejandro “Karucha” Rodriguez and taking second place plus a $138,000 prize.
Rouletteman, as we have kindly dubbed him, has reported earnings for $ 600,000 thanks to his adventures at the poker tables; and certainly has quite the stories to tell.
To finish up, I leave you with the celebrated words of a Latin American hero, «envy is bad, it kills and poisons the soul», or was it revenge he was talking about? Oh well, whatever, neither one of those are good.
