Things were going well for Farid Jattin on the first stop of the number 12 European Poker Tour Barcelona . He finished 13th and took a €63,300 prize at the 25k High Roller; and came in third at the incredibly tough #41 PLO- 8 Handed Event for a €5,300 prize, more than enough to justify the visit. But, there was still one more night of competition to go while the Main Event came to an end, and just one shot for him to take.
Event #70: the NLH Turbo 6 Handed had an entry fee of €2,150, 203 players and a repeat champion. It so happens that the Colombian, from Barranquilla, had already won a similar event on his London stop – for the EPT11 taking £35,500 after overcoming Team PokerStars Pro Ike Haxton and Dario Sammartino .
farid1221x , as he was known at the virtual tables, stood tall in yet another tough encounter. In fact, it was the last table to close on the final day, after defeating Filippo Lazaretto and taking the €83,290 prize awarded to the champion. Aces like Joao Vieira and Jeremy Ausmus , have sat at that table, while others like Emmanuel López came very close.
Event #70: NL – Turbo – 6 Handed €2,000 + €150
Entrants: 203
Prize pool: €393,820
