Day 1 for the 12th season of PokerStars.es European Poker Tour Barcelona keeps breaking all records after 1,214 entrants registered for Day 1B of the competition. To this day, there are a total of 1,673 entrants; however, as is the rule at EPT events, registration will remain open until sometime before Day 2.

The best Latin player of the day was Argentine Emmanuel López  who finished with a 145,800 chip stack, followed closely by Brazilian Joao Simao  with a 126,600 chips in his stack. The Latin Armada made itself felt in number and managed to have 14 Brazilian players, 13 Argentine players, 5 Venezuelan players, 4 Mexican players, 3 Uruguayan players, 1 Chilean player, and 1 Costa Rican player classified.
