Silvain Loosli   arrived with a mere four big blinds, only to make history and emerge as the title holder on the first day´s €50,000 Super High Roller for the 12th season of the PokerStars.es European Poker Tour Barcelona. He is standing tall now having defeated Polish sensation Dzimitry Urbanovich  and taking a staggering €1.224.000.

Sadly, every battle has its casualties and, in this case, it was Latin warriors Juan Carlos Alvarado   and Iván Lucá   ‘s time. They came in fourth and sixth place respectively after battling it out at the final table.

It´s well worth mentioning both players remarkable performance: after coming very close to becoming the bubble the previous day, Ivan managed to sit at the final table putting the heat on his rivals. For his part, Alvarado dominated for most of the final table; however, variance was not on his side at the key moment in the game.
