Amaya, the company that ows PokerStars, and David Baazov split their ways. David announced on March that he would step off from the company voluntarily. Amaya made it official on a press release and presented Rafi Ashkenazi as his CEO while Divyesh Gadia was appointed as chairman of the board.

Baazov is under investigation by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF). The AMF is investigating Baazov for using privileged information in order to close different deals.

“I am proud of my contributions in building Amaya into the successful company it is today, and continue to be supportive of its strategy and management,” said Baazov who also said that he would try to buy actions to return to the company in the near future.
