We had to wait a while, but the date’s been set. As of October 1st, Poker Central, will go live; the first television channel dedicated entirely to our dear discipline and, unfortunately, it will only be enjoyed by American fans.

Among the programming we find: World Poker Tour Alpha 8, High Stakes Poker, Poker After Dark, Face The Ace, Women´s World Open, 100 Greatest Poker Moments, among others.

Also, Poker Central will have, among the hosts in its ranks, specialists like Phil Hellmuth , the Team PokerStars Pro, Daniel Negreanu , and Antonio Esfandiari . The latter two mentioned, will hava two special shows, Pokerography and Insider Poker, respectively.

To start warming our engines, Poker Central launched a contest via their website where you can upload your best poker face. The top three pics will get a poker class with one of the aforementioned players.

We still don’t know if the channel will be broadcasted by a cable operator in Latin America; however, there’s no harm in asking, right?
