Inicio > Daniel Negreanu went vegan and suggests you do the same, for your own good

The winner of six WSOP bracelets and Team PokerStars Pro, Daniel Negreanu  became a vegetarian in the year 2000 and given the benefits he experienced to his health, he evolved into veganism in 2008. Furthermore, he has now created a manifest to take this eating trend to the public  through the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals Association (PETA).

Veganism is defined, briefly, as the practice of abstaining from the utilization and consumption of animal products, specially for dietary purposes; what is more, it also follows the tenet that rejects merchandise made in some way from animals.

The text written by “KidPoker” for PETA, the organization that stands for animal rights worldwide and has over three million followers, has garnered over 7,000 signatures.

Here is Negreanu’s manifest:

«My diet’s now as good as it’s ever been, and although my veganism started out absolutely about health, it’s also become about the environment and animal cruelty, The way animals are treated and the conditions are atrocious. They’re force fed steroids, the chickens are de-beaked. You end up eating sick, diseased chickens because they’re living in shit. It’s like a holocaust on animals.

From cutting your risk of suffering from cancerstrokes, and heart disease to preventing further damage to the environment, removing meat and other animal foods from your diet is the safe bet.»

What’s your opinion on going vegan? Would you try it?
