Inicio > Nopaleva, another wacky Russian story in the world of poker

Thanks to our friends at Poker-Red we found out about this story, starring Nopaleva , the player who managed to get to payout at the $51,000 Super High Roller for World Championship of Online Poker organized by PokerStars, and we just had to tell you about it. The Russian player, whose actual name is Dmitry Golyshev, didn’t just win a spot at a 25,000 VPP’s satellite, but he also sold  90% of his tournment… with mark down!

After classifying for the tournament, Dmitry logged on to the Gipsyteam forum and took on investments for almost the entirety of the tournament, with a 0,9 mark down. This is quite an unsual practice, but actually  helped the Russian player make $40,500 before the start of the tournament. He then finished fourth and took $230,000, although, he only has $23,000 more in his vault. And, that’s poker or you!

This is the buy-in list and what each of the contestants took:

Nopaleva, a generous soul in poker!
