The Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event became the biggest tournament held outside of the United States after registering 3.447 entries so far. The chip leader of the event is Hungarian player Gabor Szabo who finished with a 454,000 stack after thirteen levels of play.

French player Hilal Merabet is second in chips with a 410,000 stack. Team PokerStars Pro George Danzer (64.000) and Liliya Novikova were the only sponsored players to advance to Day 2. Names such as Liv Boeree , Chen-An Lin and Yaxi Shu were eliminated early on the tournament.

A grand total of 862 players will return for Day 2 in Barcelona at Level 14 with blinds 1,500/3,000 ante 500. The official numbers and payouts will be announced later today.
