Argentinian player Juan Pablo Gossn is in the news but for the wrong reasons. Today we can’t write about his achievements. Today we will write about a regrettable act that he experienced at the Russian Poker Tour. The Racing Club fan almost took the title of the Main Event in Belarus but when he was 4-handed, his rivals colluded against him with the approval of the authorities who say nothing.

What happened is almos absurd: In the first situation a player got angry after his rival bet «too strong» in the turn when everyone expected the Argentinian to became the first elimination. Then two player checked down all the streets in a board where any other player would have bet a chip or maybe all of them.

The supervisor saw everything and called the Tournament Director, Erik Shakhbazyan. First they tried to reach an ICM agreement but everyone rejected the deal. They kept on playing and Juan Pablo finished in fourth place with a $2,500 prize. As compensation the organization gave Gossn a $1,500 voucher, exactly for the tournament buy-in.
