We are just one stop away from the ending of the eight season of the PokerStars.net Latin American Poker Tour and Oscar Alache remains as the top candidate to win the Player of the Year Award after having the lead almost from the beginning to the end.

Alache won the Main Event and a PLO Side Event at Viña del Mar to conquer the top of the ranking but the Turbo Side Event won at Panama gave him an extra push toward the title and an advantage over Renata Teixeira . The LAPT Grand Final will be played from November 25 to November 29 at the beautiful Sheraton WTC Sao Paulo.

The Chilean player will try to repeat the achievement made by his fellow countryman Amos Ben two years ago altough it won’t be easy with Marco Zevola and Mario Lopez on his heels. Last year the title went to Argentina thanks to Horacio Nicolas who won the title by playing mostly side events.
