The 2016 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) has begun. One of the biggest poker festivals in the world kicked-off with the 100K Super High Roller. Only 49 players bought in for $100,000 dollars and Talal Shakerchi finished Day 1 as the chipleader with 805,000 chips.

Juan Carlos Alvarado was the only latin player to play during the first day of action. Unfortunately he was eliminated but he will have the opportunity to re-enter today before the start of Day 2.

Three Team PokerStars Pro advanced to Day 2. Daniel Negreanu (185,000), Jason Mercier (299,000) and Vanessa Selbst (531,000). Other notable names are Bryn Kenney , Erik Seidel , Fedor Holz , Isaac Haxton and Scott Seiver .

Late registration is open until the start of Day 2. Players will return with blinds 3,000/6,000 ante 1,000 with an average stack of 382,813 chips. Day 2 will last until the final table is reached.
